Creemore Springs Copper Kettle Festival
Celebration of the brewery, the town and the beer
This annual festival in Creemore village attending thousands of people who loves vintage cars, beer and live music. I was not expecting a lot from festival but this Saturday was booked to see Creemore brewery. 2 hours drive and you are there. My first impression was really positive. Even because I came at 3:30pm couple hours before closing. A did noticed a lot of people and cars.
Walking down the street I've found Creemore brewery, what was really easy to do. And seems like it is one of the main city attractions. Recently they did moved to new space for retail. It is much bigger, a lot of wood and old vintages. We've been offered with sample of beer. It was fresh and tasty, even I am not big fan of Creemore beers. They was offering free tours each 15 minutes. But most of all I was impressed by their lab what you can see thru the windows. I never seen like this in small craft breweries. So I am pretty sure quality of the beer is absolutely perfect.
We spent mostly 4 hours in the village and festival. What I did notice - it is more like family event. Everyone is friendly and welcome. You don't have to pay entrance fee like in other commercial festivals. It is really friendly with kids attractions. With great food and water. Even you can ride a pony. Great live music and vintage shops. As conclusion I can say it was absolutely worth to drive 2 hours. And this festival is much better then most of commercial beer festivals...
